Purpose

Facilitate trauma recovery programmes and provide
psychosocial support, including referrals, for
international students who have been victims of abuse
or crime and are experiencing depression, trauma, or
anxiety.

Operate a Community and Peer Support Network to
create a safe and supportive environment where
victims can connect with others facing similar
challenges, thereby reducing isolation.

Deliver educational programmes to inform international
students about their rights, safety, trauma recovery,
harm prevention, and available resources for support
and assistance.

Direct Support Services

Legal assistance and representation.
Mental health and trauma counselling.
Emergency financial support for housing, medical bills, and essential needs.

Community Engagement and Support

Facilitate peer support groups designed to provide a safe and inclusive environment where international students can share their experiences, build connections, and support one another in overcoming challenges related to cultural adjustment, isolation, and recovery from trauma.

Annual Awards Dinner

Celebrate Australian citizens and organisations who have made a
significant impact in supporting international student victims of crime.
